about

This album was recorded using various means and methods between 2004-2012:

Tracks 1,5,6,7,10-15 were recorded at Ghost Town Studios over three of the coldest nights on record. Ghost Town was set up in an abandoned warehouse without central heating or much in the way of lighting.

Tracks 3 & 4 recorded on a portable Digital 8 track in different rehearsal studios that we would sneak into before anybody knew it, to avoid being charged for the time (and pressured into using their 'in-house recording facilities').

Tracks 8 & 9 were recorded at The Spanish Studio in rural Lincolnshire. The studio is in an old barn that is built on the side of a working cattle shed. During our visit there was what can only be described as a mouse invasion.

Tracks 2 & 16 were recorded in a little box room on an old analog 4 track portable tape machine.

about

Horton Parks Leeds, UK

Singer/Songwriter, but often with a full band backing, Horton Parks first appeared in 2003 when the debut album, "Sleepers" was released on Squirrel Records. After numerous gigs, and a follow-up album recorded, but for some time thought lost... now fortunately found...Horton Parks is back...and with a noisier, harder sound, mixed in with the more familiar style of the debut album. ... more
